Dewees Grant Application:
In accordance with the provision in the will, the funds are given to the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church “to use in the mission programs of the Church.” Grants will typically not exceed $10,000, and be for the initial funding of a project only. Igniting Ministries Matching Grants:
United Methodist Communications offers $1 million in matching funds annually to local churches, districts and conferences to help establish an advertising presence in their community. Matching funds can be used for placing television, radio, cinema, outdoor media or a combination of these media types.
Grant applications are accepted two times a year for media placed in coordination with the national cable TV schedule:
May 1 through June 1 for Back-to-School and Advent.
November 1 through December 1 for Lent.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:

All applicant churches must be welcoming certified (or become Year One certified) before payment of their grant;
All applicant churches must have had staff attend welcoming training within the last ...??
Conferences must have hosted (or scheduled to host) a welcoming training event

Note: Your media plan must be pre-approved in order to complete the application process, so we encourage you to contact the Media Grants and Services office at 877-281-6535 or IMMediaServices@umcom.org as you consider applying for a matching media grant.
Application periods (deadlines) are November 1 - December 1 for Lent and May 1 - June 1 for both the Back-to-school and Advent media schedules. Applications will only be accepted during these dates.

Peace with Justice Grants:
Apply for a Peace with Justice Grant for individual or church/organization use within Eastern Pennsylvania Conference. The grants are designed to support peace with justice issues. Grants will be given to work/study programs/projects that seek alternatives to violence and its causes; economic justice and the self-development of peoples; and promote restorative justice,, incuding abolition of the death penalty. Deadlines for church/organization grant applicatiosn are due March 31 or October 31. Individual grant applications are accepted at any time.
